Twins First Birthday

These cards were created to mark the first birthday of twins, a boy and a girl. The design of the card was inspired by the work of the very talented Mary Fish. I knew I wanted something that incorporated many colors and this design certainly made that possible.

These cards are 5 3/4 inches square. The base of the cards and the white squares on the fronts are done in Stardream metallic cardstock. The colored cardstock is Stampin Up. The squares are just over 1 1/2 inches, and cut with a Spellbinders die.

The animals were cut with Cricut New Arrival and Sampler cartridges, with the default set at 2 inches. The butterfly was decorated with small brads and Stickles, while the lion features Perfect Pearls.

The banner is just a 1 inch strip with the corners rounded. The words are Stamping Up while the candle is Inkadinkado.

The kids might be too small to appreciate the cards, but I hope the parents get a kick out of them.
