King of the Jungle

When I first spotted this not so ferocious-looking Lion image from QKR Stampede, I knew he was very special. I ordered him in a digital version, and that makes it so easy to customize his size to exactly fit your project.

This lion is printed in the original size onto X-Press It Blending Card. He was then colored with Copics E30, E31, E33, E34 and E35. His crown is done in Y26 and Y28, with a touch of Stickles in Star Dust. After I allowed the Copics to dry well, I moistened a piece of a washcloth with Blending Solution and dabbed gently to create fur. Gold, Buttermilk, Gold and Chocolate Spica pens put extra sparkle in his main. Frayed Burlap Distress Ink was used to sponge the edges of the white paper. Dots of gold Liquid Pearls add a little bling.

The card base is a 6" square, and is cut of Stardream Metallics. Bright Gold Stardream is used here for the photo frame. Spellbinders dies were used to cut the frame and flourish. The patterned paper is SEI.

Isn't he just cute enough to snuggle?
