A+ in Printing
This squirrel looks pretty worried, but he needn't be cause he got an A+ on his first printing worksheet. This idea is near to my heart since my first grade teacher told me if my printing didn't improve, I'd never make it far in life!
This project was created for QKR Stampede and the Weekly Challenge #4 Back to School. Check out the challenge for some very enticing prizes. This digi image is Writing Squirrel. Here's how this card came together...
Start with a 5 3/4" square cardstock base. Cut a 5 1/2" square in a contrasting color (pulled from the patterned paper) and a 5 1/4" square from a patterned paper.
Print the squirrel on X-Press It Blending Card and color with Copics. I used:
Fur: E30, 31, 34, 35, 37, 39. Color the fur first and, when dry, apply a couple of drops of blending solution to a scrap of washcloth and dab over fur to create texture.
Pencil: YR21, 23, 24 and E04
Jeans: B91, 93, 95
Trim image to size you desire and cut a square of contrast cardstock just bit bigger.
With Circut's Plantin cartridge, cut an A+ at 1.5" and a star a 1" from a third cardstock color, and cut shadows of these shapes from the original contrast cardstock.
Adhere all layers and dot with Stickles in Spiced Marigold.
